Finding out about the network

There are several commands available to give you information about the network. The "rup" command tells you which computers are up and for how long, in addition to the load average and number of users.

"rusers" produces an output similar to "who" except that all users on the network are listed. "rusers" lists each computer in the network and the names of the users logged in on each. Users who haven't typed anything in over an hour will not be listed unless you specify the "-a" option.

The "hostname" command simply prints the name of the computer you're on, in case you forget or get confused.
