Granting Access -- The .rhosts file
If you have accounts on two different Unix systems, you can grant
access to your account on a different computer by editing the file
'.rhosts' in your home directory. Add a line containing the official name
of the computer, a single space and the name of the account on the
other computer which you want to be able to access your account. For
example, your file might look something like this:

orion.oac.uci.edu jrsmith
]]>
Entries in the '.rhosts' file are not necessary for accounts with the
same name which are on "equivalent" computers, such as computers set
up in a single workgroup in a department.
Your account is assigned to you alone, and you should never let anyone
else have access to your account. You are responsible for the actions
of anyone to whom you have granted access.
