This command starts the Kermit server running on the Unix system. You can then use the copy of Kermit running on your personal computer to send commands to the Unix system's Kermit. Commands such as "GET" and "SEND" will transfer files. Other commands like "REMOTE DIRECTORY" and "REMOTE CWD" allow you to perform commands on the Unix system and see the output on your computer without exiting the Kermit server. Again, the handout describes the use of Kermit in much greater detail.
