UCI Office 365 is Microsoft’s “Office 365 for Education” program for faculty and staff at UCI, intended for University business. Other plans are more appropriate for personal use.
Who can use Office 365?
UCI Office 365 is available at no cost to all non-HS UCI faculty and staff, but for those in academic schools, you should consult with your local IT support before using these services.
Unfortunately at this time, HS faculty and staff are unable to participate.
What does Office 365 include?
UCI Office 365 includes many applications, including email, calendar, file storage (“OneDrive”), conferencing (“Skype for Business”), and Office Online (tools to create and edit Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. documents in your web browser.)
UCI Office 365 is made available through a UC system-wide contract to provide Microsoft Cloud Services to the campus community. OIT Exchange users are moving to Office365 with a target completion date of December, 2015. As more information becomes available, it will be added here.
All the documents here pertain to UCI faculty and staff who are users of OIT Exchange services, and have accounts of the form “UCInetID [at] ad.uci.edu”. If you wish to become an Exchange user, send email to email@example.com (or call x42222).
