The InfoMail system had to be replaced because it was more than 15 years old, vendor support is no longer available, and spare parts are difficult to find. Initially, the new Voicemail service will provide the same basic functionality found in the InfoMail system. The new Voicemail system has the capability of supporting additional functionality that will allow enhancing the Voicemail service in the future.
OIT has worked hard with the new Voicemail system vendor to emulate the InfoMail command menus and we expect that InfoMail users will find the new Voicemail system familiar and easy to navigate. However, there are differences that are detailed in the following document:
