OIT provides voicemail for a monthly fee through the campus telephone system. To request voicemail service or change voicemail services, use the Service Request Form.

My phone doesn’t ring…
My phone goes straight to Voicemail…
Your phone line may have an “all call” diversion to Voicemail in place.  Lift receiver and dial # 2 # to cancel the all-call diversion.
How do I change my Voicemail greeting?The 1st incoming call to your phone will ring four times. If you don’t answer, it will divert to your pre-set diversion point. The 2nd and subsequent incoming calls will only ring two times before diverting – as the phone system knows you aren’t available. It will reset back to four rings when you use the phone. When you are available to take calls again, simply lift the receiver or press your Access 1 button to signal that you are available for incoming calls.

I forgot my Voicemail password for my phone…Submit an OIT Service Request Form yourself to have the password reset to the default (654123).  If another person submits the OIT Service Request Form for you, an OIT representative will contact the listed mailbox owner to obtain written permission to reset the password and retain any messages.
I am new to this phone number and I don’t have the previous employee’s password...  There are two choices:
1. All existing messages will be deleted: submit an OIT Service Request Form requesting that the current Voicemail box be deleted and reinstalled for a new user (new user's name is required).  The new default password will be 654123. 
2. All messages will be retained:  submit an OIT Service Request Form AND detailed written authorization from the following person (below).  New user's name is required. The new default password will be 654123. 
  • For ACADEMIC employees and LIBRARIANS:  Provost/EVC

  • For STAFF employees: VC-Admin & Bus Services

  • For STUDENTS: VC-Student Affairs

  • For UCIMC employees: CEO-UCIMC
