OIT Enterprise Architecture

This site serves as an information source for a number of IT enterprise architecture (EA) efforts underway in OIT and UCI.  With the rising complexities of system-wide software, the UC Information Technology Leadership Council (ITLC) and UC's Information Technology Architecture Committee (ITAC) recommended each campus to invest in IT architecture governance and create an Architecture Review Board (ARB).  Comprised of technology leaders from OIT and an IT liaison to the Schools, the ARB meets monthly to consider technology architectural standards and opportunities from an institutional perspective, facilitating IT governance across the portfolio of major technology initiatives and projects.

The goal of the OIT Enterprise Architecture Initiative is to support a process which is focused on building, maintaining, retiring, and acquiring new technology that best enables the priority business activities of UC Irvine and facilitates the adaptation of technology to the changing business needs of the campus, at the lowest cost.

Architecture Review Board (ARB)

The Architecture Review Board (ARB) serves as a governance body ensuring IT initiatives align with campus architecture and UCI's IT goals and objectives.  Together with OIT leadership and a representative School IT Director, the ARB facilitates and promotes an IT roadmap that enables UC Irvine to fulfill its IT mission.
