The CASHNet system is used by parents and students to pay for UCI tuition and fees. It replaced the previous system (Net.Pay) in the summer of 2016.

Students can access CASHNet by visiting ZOT Account, clicking “Current Account”, and proceeding to make a payment.

Parents, however, should keep in mind that viewing the bill and paying the bill are done through two separate and distinct portals:

How can I view the bill? (Parents)

  1. Register for a Third Party UCINetID (TPID) at the Third Party UCInetID Registration Page. Give the TPID to your student.
  2. Ask your student to set up viewing permission for you by following the instructions to authorize guest/third party access.
    • Note: You can only view billing information. You cannot make payments, or manage a PACE plan.
  3. After the student sets you up, log in to the ZOT Account Guest Access Website and view the bill.

How do I pay the bill? (Parents)

  1. Ask your student to create a Third Party User ID for you. (Note that this ID is separate from the Third Party UCInetID)
  2. You'll receive an email with the third party user ID, a temporary password and a link with instructions.

Why are there now two payment options?

When attempting to make a payment in CASHNet, you may notice that there are now two different payment options:

  • UCI General Payment
  • UCI General Housing Payment

The UCI General Payment should be used by students to make payments for registration fees, lab fees etc., and the UCI General Housing Payment is for Housing Only.

These new payment options will not show up for all students. They will only show up for students who have financial aid that cannot be applied to a charge, e.g. if they don’t have the minimum required units or if they have an outstanding charge for the previous year to which financial aid cannot be applied.

In addition, students who do not have any open charges will no longer see the message: “Your account does not currently have any outstanding charges." Instead, they will see “Check your ZOT Account Online for unpaid charges. If your account has charges that cannot be paid by your credit balance, click the "Enter Amount You Wish to Pay" button to make your payment."

I'm having trouble using the system. May I send a check instead?

Absolutely! If you'd prefer to send a check, please include the student’s 8-digit UCI Student ID# on the face of the check. The UCI Cashier's Office address is:
