Microsoft Authenticator Support

OIT offers the Microsoft Authenticator (MFA) service (aka Azure Authenticator) for Law School students who are required to use the UCI Office 365/Exchange email service while they are enrolled in a Law Clinic. Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is a Law School requirement in order for students to securely access their mailboxes.

NOTE: Law School students who are NOT enrolled in a Clinic should continue using Duo for two-factor authentication.

How do I get started?

Download the app for your iPhone or Android phone, and once it's installed you can open a ticket with OIT requesting our WSG team to enable MFA. Please be clear in your request to avoid any delays. If you're unable to open a ticket, you can email us at oit@uci.edu or give us a call at 949-824-2222.

I've replaced my phone (or I've reset my phone). How do I get a new token?

Please open a ticket with OIT requesting our WSG team to disable MFA on your old phone and to enable MFA on your new phone. Please be clear in your request to avoid any delays. If you're unable to open a ticket, you can email us at oit@uci.edu or give us a call at 949-824-2222.
