Types of services include support for, but not limited to:

  • New Building Construction Support – Infrastructure, network, and telephone initiation, planning, executing, delivering, and closing project support.
  • Department/Building Renovation or Relocations – Construction or cabling support including: reviewing existing infrastructure, site evaluation for pathway, MDF/IDF backboard requirements, wired/wireless network equipment.

What support does OIT provide for new building requests?

OIT Provides information technology consulting services for new building projects from initiation to closing a project in coordination with UCI campus partners such as Capital Planning, Space Planning, and Design and Construction Services.

The support services include, but are not limited to: identifying project requirements and recommendations for point of connection, pathway evaluations, cable type(s), network wired/wireless requirements, telephone requirements, equipment cost estimates, and campus standards compliance.

What support does OIT provide for department/building renovation or relocations?

OIT provides information technology consulting services for department/building renovation or relocations projects in coordination with UCI campus partners such as Facilities Management, Campus Planning, UCI building managers, and school departments.

The support services include, but are not limited to: identifying project requirements and recommendations, reviewing existing infrastructure, cable type (s), network wired/wireless evaluations, equipment cost estimates, and campus standard compliance.

When should I not use this form?

  • In the event you would like to request the installation of a new network jack, relocate a existing jack to a new location, or have an existing jack modified, please use the Network Service Request.
  • In the event you would like to request new or modify an existing Telephone Service, please use Telephone Service Request.
  • If you would like to report an issue with an existing network, send an email to oit@uci.edu and provide the location and brief description.
