Summer Session

UCI Summer Session offers more than 800 courses across 70 academic disciplines each summer, including a wide variety of online classes. It is comprised of three different sessions:

  • Session I and the 10 Week session generally begin in late June and typically finish the last week of July and the end of August, respectively.
  • Summer Session II usually begins in early August and ends in early September.

Summer Session also offers numerous special programs, including summer programs for incoming freshmen and transfer students, a visiting student program for international students, and a leadership development program.

You can sign in to your account and register for classes by visiting the Summer Session website. If you have any trouble, please contact the Summer Session office at (949) 824-5493 or for support, as the OIT Help Desk does not have the ability to resolve most login or class scheduling issues.

I've enrolled for summer session but not a UCI student. Do I get a UCInetID?

Yes. All Summer Session students receive an 8-digit UCI Student ID number (or an 8-digit UNEX ID number) which they can use to activate their UCInetID. You'll have to pay for the UCInetID.

I'm having trouble logging in to the Summer Session website with my UCInetID.

The Summer Session website will only allow currently matriculating UCI students to sign in with their UCInetID; however, if you are an incoming student, a continuing student, or a former student/alumni, the Summer Session office will be able to grant you access if you ask them.

Please contact them at (949) 824-3300 or for assistance, as the OIT Help Desk does not have the ability to grant you access to their system.

I'm having trouble logging in to the Summer Session website with my Alternate Login.

Non-matriculating students who enrolled with a personal email address (aka Alternate Login) should contact Summer Session at (949) 824-3300 or for login assistance, as the OIT Help Desk does not have the ability to confirm which email address you used to create your account or reset your password.

Why are my classes not showing up in EEE?

Normally, it can take up to two business days for your classes to sync from Summer Session to EEE. There's nothing anyone can do to expedite this. Please plan your schedule accordingly.

Also, keep in mind that if you have NOT paid for your classes, they will not sync to EEE. Contact Summer Session to make payment arrangements.

I registered for classes using the Alternate Login, but I remember having a UCInetID from before. Can I use it again?

Please contact Summer Session at (949) 824-3300 or for assistance with linking your old UCInetID with the classes you registered for with your Alternate Login. You may also need to email for support as they'll need to make sure your classes are linked properly to your UCInetID.
