Under general direction, the Director, Client Services will be responsible to plan, organize,and manage staff in technical, support, project and administrative activities. This position will collaborate and work with other senior members of the department as well as staff across the organization to focus on multiple areas of responsibility; Enterprise Desktop Support (Standard, Specialized, & Wellness, Health, and Counseling), Classroom Technologies (Instructional Lab and Classroom Support & Classroom Technologies Planning & Outreach) Campus Communications, Centralized Tools, plus other departmental supporting services. The position oversees the management of the above support teams and uses metrics, key performance indicators, superior management and mentoring skills, in order to ensure support consistently meets or exceeds service levels and quality standards. Promotes and implements the client services vision and roadmap and leads both problem anticipation and solving on an enterprise level. The Director of Client Services will manage the development of strategic service desk and commodity service plans, manage the service catalog portfolio, and partner with key areas of the campus on service quality and delivery. This position will participate in fiscal and administrative decision making and will perform related work as required. This is a specialized technical position that reports directly to the Assistant CIO and plays a key role in the senior leadership team of the department.
