Under the direction of the Director of Client Services (CLS) of the Office of Information Technology (OIT), the incumbent oversees all aspects of the operations for the Standard Desktop Support Services, Specialized Desktop Support Services, Wellness, Health, and Counseling Desktop Support, Classroom Technology Support, and Instructional Labs and Classroom Support teams. The position coordinates the efforts of all these groups to ensure seamless, effective and ongoing support to the campus.

Support scope includes over 4,000 physical endpoints, software, tools, and servers in support of OIT clients. In addition, support of all active learning classrooms, smart classrooms, general assignment classrooms, and OIT sponsored computing labs.

Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the strategic objectives of the organization are met. Plan and execute long-term complex projects and align staff resources as appropriate to improve client services, end point security, and team efficiency. Focus on strategic support objectives and synergies within the organization.

Responsible for client relationship management with campus clients including executive staff and faculty. Advocate for client needs within OIT to other groups as appropriate. Provides communications to stakeholders regarding new services, project plans, and outages.

Perform a variety of management and coordination responsibilities such as hire, train, supervise and support career staff; interact with UCI faculty, staff, and students to ensure services provided respond to their needs.
