Under the general supervision of the Instructional Technology Support Manager and in coordination with the leadership of OIT’s learning management system (LMS) project, the Educational Technology Analyst will help develop and execute on a robust communication strategy aimed at informing key audiences within UC Irvine’s dynamic and diverse community. Coordinate disparate groups’ involvement in the vetting of software products. Provide responsive, professional, and high-quality front-line end-user support for faculty, staff, and student users of enterprise learning management systems and integrated campus and third-party services. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.

The highly collaborative Academic Web Technologies Support (AWTS) team supports a dynamic and diverse instructional community through several key activities, particularly:

  • Provides responsive, professional, and high-quality front-line end-user support for faculty, staff, and student users of enterprise learning management systems and integrated campus and third-party services.
  • Vets third-party tools for integration with the core Canvas LMS, and integrates those that pass review.
  • Keeps campus stakeholders informed of changes to UCI’s instructional technology portfolio.
  • Contributes to the work of the neighboring Academic Web Technologies Development team by using support interactions to identify emerging needs, trends, and opportunities to better serve campus faculty, staff, and students.
