The OIT Desktop Support Supervisor will act as the escalation point for other support staff and is responsible for ensuring all incidents and problems are resolved in a timely manner. The desktop Support supervisor will act as the primary support contact for select VIP areas on campus, such as the Chancellor’s office and Executive Vice Provost Office. This position is a working supervisor and will also be responsible for workstations, and device management, and coordinate technology projects from an IT desktop perspective. This position will report to the manager of OIT Desktop Support.

Under general direction of the Manager, Desktop Support Services, the Operations Supervisor, Specialized Desktop Support will supervise a team of desktop support analysts for the Office of Information Technology. Work collectively with the other desktop supervisor and desktop support manager to provide support and backup to clients. Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides direction to staff according to established policies and management guidance. Administers policies that directly affect subordinate staff. Recommends changes to department policies and practices. Identifies risks and responds accordingly. Provide priority setting and work flow analysis.







Compensation Range:

Commensurate with experience.
