Student Affairs IT

This is a student position for the Help Desk team which supports the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs and various affiliated departments within Student Affairs. This position supports UC Irvine Staff and is only open to currently enrolled UC Irvine Students.



– Provide support to end users on a variety of IT related issues.

– Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.

– Respond to telephone calls, email, and requests for technical support.

– Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution.

– Manage ticket request and follow-up with users.

– Install and maintain Windows and Mac operating systems (OS).

– Troubleshoot Mac and PC hardware and software.

– Troubleshoot printer and network issues.

All students employed by Student Affairs are required to work during the Commencement Weekend. Exceptions are only made due to outstanding circumstance.



* This is a position for standard desktop support duties. It will involve little to no programming experience or knowledge. If you are looking to apply as a student programmer, please apply to the listing for a Student Affairs Programmer.
