Turnitin – scheduled maintenance on July 13, 2019 from 8am to 4pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

Turnitin will be unavailable due to scheduled downtime on Saturday, July 13th from 8am to 4pm. Instructors will not be able to grade or submit work to Turnitin-enabled assignments during that time.

UCLC scheduled maintenance on July 14, 2019 from 1am to 11am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

The UC Learning Center and STSA will be unavailable for a system upgrade until approximately 11 a.m.

Network Switch Maintenance in the Data Center on July 17, 2019 from 5 to 7pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

On Wednesday, July 17th from 5:00-7:00pm, network engineering will be performing urgent software maintenance on two pieces of critical network infrastructure in the OIT data center. Connectivity to the data center at large will be unaffected. There may be a brief interruption of service to OIT-hosted virtual machines during the window. For more information about whether a specific host will be affected, refer to the normal channels for notification about virtual hosting (oit-virt-announce, etc.)

Scheduled ATS and Generator Test on July 17, 2019 from 7 to 9AM

Purpose: Testing

Services Affected:

On Wednesday 7/17/19, UCI Facilities Management electricians with Data Center support and oversight will be conducting our regular monthly emergency Generator / UPS / Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) preventive maintenance test. This notice is being posted as information only as this ongoing monthly preventive maintenance test is non-disruptive.

At approximately 7am the ATS will be tripped to transfer active power loads for the data center from utility power to UPS / Generator power automatically via the Automatic Transfer Switch.

When the maintenance test is complete around 7:45 to 8 AM, the ATS will be tripped once again to transfer data center power back from Generator to Utility power automatically via the Automatic Transfer Switch.

OIT Confluence/Wiki will begin enforcing DUO multi-factor authentication for those users who are enrolled in DUO on July 15, 2019 after 5:00PM

Purpose: Service improvement

Services Affected:

In an effort to better protect sensitive data contained within the OIT Confluence wiki, we will begin enforcing DUO multi-factor authentication to OIT Confluence for those users who are enrolled in DUO starting on July 15, 2019 after 5:00pm. Servernet maintenance – www.uci.edu may be affected on July 10, 2019 from 5-6pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

On Wednesday, July 10th from 5-6pm, network engineering will be performing maintenance on all three routers servicing ServerNet. There is no planned or anticipated disruption, however www.uci.edu and other important sites are hosted on this network. In the event of an unexpected incident, there may be a brief loss of connectivity to these resources.

ZotAccount Online down for CASHNet SmartPay Credit Card implementation live rehearsal test on July 8, 2019 from 845 to 945am

Purpose: Upgrade

Services Affected:

Zot Account Online will be down from 8:45am to 9:45am on Monday July 8th for CASHNet SmartPay Credit Card implementation live rehearsal test.

Upgrade Jenkins to major version 2.176.1 and update all plugins on July 2, 2019 from 2 to 5pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

We will be upgrading Jenkins from 2-5PM on Tuesday, July 2nd. Jenkins will be unavailable during this time.
