Upgrade Firmware on HA Wireless Controller Pair 302-ct2504-1(ha) and 31 associated 1560-series outdoor access points on Friday, January 21, 2022, from 7 - 9pm

Purpose:

Services Affected:

OIT Network Engineering will be performing an upgrade on campus wireless controllers supporting outdoor wireless access points on Friday, Jan 21 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. During this time, access to UCINet Mobile Access and Eduroam in Outdoor areas (i.e. Engineering Plaza, Student Services II Patio) may be temporarily impacted as Wireless Access Points restart and perform a firmware upgrade.

This firmware upgrade will improve support for mobile devices and enhances the resiliency of UCINet Mobile Access.

Enable UCI SSO for all accounts, disable LSA (less secure access) and POP3 on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, 7am - Wednesday, January 26, 2022, 7pm

Purpose:

Services Affected:

Starting January 25, 2022, you will see the familiar UCI Single Sign-On screen in your mail client or Google Drive prompting you to sign in with your UCInetID and password. If you're enrolled in Duo, the Duo MFA prompt also be displayed. Upon completion of the login process, you’ll once again be able to send & receive email and access Google Drive.

SB2 Building Router Replacement 1/25 6-8am on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 6 - 8am

OIT Network Team will be replacing building router at SB2 (bldg 221) on 1/25 from 6-8am. Users in this building should expect complete network outage during this time.

The UCInetID Activation Services, https://activate.uci.edu, will be temporarily be unavailable from 8:00am to 8:15am, on Friday, January 21st, 2022.

Server updates for https://rapidreturn.eee.uci.edu on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 9 - 9:30am

Services Affected:

The EEE RapidReturn application (https://rapidreturn.eee.uci.edu) will be undergoing maintenance between 9am and 9:30am on 1/24/2022. The service will likely be unvailable during part or all of the 30 minute maintenance window.

Test incoming AT&T DID traffic failover to new incoming DR trunk group at 101 Academy on Thursday, January 13, 2022, from 6 - 8pm

On Thursday 1/13 from 6:00pm-8:00pm, OIT will be performing a disaster recovery test of our telephone system. During this test, inbound calls from non-UCI phones to UCI phone numbers (949-824-XXXX) may not be possible.
