ServiceNow Upgrade from London to Madrid on November 19, 2019 from 10 - 12am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

A major upgrade to the ServiceNow system is being planned for the next several weeks. The upgrade will take us from the London release we are using now to the current Madrid release.
The entire process is expected to be from 10pm November 19th and complete at 12am November 20th.

Madrid introduces some new features as well as some performance improvements. There were no significant user interface changes from London to Madrid.

OIT Labs Scheduled Maintenance on November 10, 2019 from 7pm to November 11, 2019, 7pm

Purpose:

Services Affected:

The OIT Labs will be undergoing maintenance over the weekend to update the systems used to authenticate users when they logon to the machines. During the maintenance window, you may experience issues logging in to the lab computers. Please wait a few minutes and then try logging in again. If you're still having trouble, please try using another computer in the lab.

Solidus ACD telephone system scheduled maintenance on November 6, 2019 from 630 - 7am

Purpose: Scheduled Maintenance

Services Affected:

The Telecom Engineering team has scheduled maintenance of the Solidus ACD telephone system. Calls to the OIT Help Desk will be affected for a few brief moments during the maintenance window.

UCLC Scheduled Maintenance on November 8, 2019 from 8pm - 2am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

The UC Learning Center will be undergoing a system upgrade. The UCLC production site (uclc.uci.edu) will not be available while the upgrade takes place.

chat.oit.uci.edu – Inactive Account Removal on November 7, 2019

Purpose:

Services Affected:

We are removing unused accounts from the OIT chat service in preparation for upcoming system upgrades. The identified accounts (<100) have been dormant for >1 year.

OIT has emailed the affected users and has requested a justification to keep the accounts active. If you received this email but do not respond by November 7, your account will be removed.

Electrical Power Outage on third floor of Bio Sci 3 (#519) on November 6, 2019 from 5 - 7am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

The Facilities Electric shop has scheduled a 3 electrical panel outage on the 3rd floor of Bio Sci 3. Impact is to regular and emergency 120/208 volt power only. This outage will affect OIT equipment, Aircuity controls, Phoenix valve and 2 fume hoods.

WebPAN Archive Moving to KSAMS/UCInetID Login on November 9, 2019 from 5 - 530am

Purpose:

Services Affected:

The processes for logging into and managing user access to the WebPAN Archive application will be changing soon. UCI's legacy Security Access Management System (SAMS) will soon be decommissioned as part of our transition to UCPath. As a result, the WebPAN Archive application must be migrated to the Kuali Security Access Management System (KSAMS) on Saturday, Nov. 9.

OIT LDAP production server patching and reboot on November 12, 2019 from 6 - 8pm

Purpose:

Services Affected:

The OIT LDAP production servers will be rebooted for server patching on Tuesday, Nov. 12 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. This will be a rolling maintenance so the OIT LDAP service will remain available during this window. However, some applications may experience disconnects or query interruptions and will need to reconnect if that happens.
