Planned Maintenance for UCPath on Saturday 2/01 12:00 a.m to Sunday 2/02 8:00 a.m, Saturday 2/15 12:00 a.m to Sunday 2/16 8:00 a.m.

Purpose: UC Hastings transition to UCPath

Services Affected:

The UCPath system (including UCPath online) will be unavailable during the listed dates and times below in preparation for the UC Hastings transition to UCPath.

Saturday 2/15 12:00 a.m to Sunday 2/16 8:00 a.m
Impact: All faculty, staff and student employees will not have any access to UCPath online during the listed time periods.

Notes:
· Regularly scheduled maintenance will continue on Sundays between 12 a.m. – 6 a.m.
· Reminder notifications will be sent regularly.

Scheduled ATS and Generator Test on January 22, 2020, from 7 to 9am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

On Wednesday 1/22/20 at approximately 7 AM, facilities will perform their monthly ATS and generator test for OITDC and Engineering Gateway. The electrician will trigger OITDC’s main ATS to power up the generator, at which point the generator will be run for around 30 minutes to test its function. Once complete, the ATS will be triggered again and normal campus power will be returned. The building ATS and generator will also be tested directly after the preceding test. This work should be non-disruptive as the UPS devices at OITDC will handle the power load during the power transfer to and from the generator.

Non-disruptive Maintenance on Border Switching Hardware (Rescheduled) on January 22, 2020 from 5 – 7pm

Purpose:

Services Affected:

Network engineering will be performing nondisruptive maintenance on the campus border network. This work will improve traffic distribution and is not anticipated to cause any client impact.

FDX Coldfusion, JAVA updates and LogicDomain Java GC request on January 28, 2020 from 5 – 6pm

Purpose:

fdx.cap.uci.edu will be down for updates and maintenance on Tuesday, January 21st from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM.

Upgrade PHP to v7.3 on sites.uci.edu and faculty.sites.uci.edu on January 15, 2020 from 7am to 5pm

We are doing a software upgrade which will cause a short service outage during this time when we restart the systems.

High Bay Concrete Cutting 1/14/20 on January 14, 2020 from 9am – 4pm

Purpose:

Services Affected:

Facilities management has informed us that on 1/14/20, the construction crew working on the high bay in Engineering Gateway will start around 9 – 10 AM to break the old concrete floor out to prepare for pouring new concrete. They will start on the concrete near the wall shared with Lab C and Network room of OITDC and work their way outward toward the main roll-up door entrance. They should finish by the end of the work day.

There is a possibility that this work send vibrations into Lab C and the Network room that could potentially damage equipment; though we have no ability to stop the work, we are taking precautions to limit this possibility and will be monitoring the vibrations at the start of the work.

There will be very brief intermittent ES mail service outages as various systems are updated. If you encounter connection problems try again in 5 minutes and if the problem persists after the scheduled maintenance window then please call the Help Desk.
