Campus Telephone System Update

Date(s): March 5 at 10:00pm to March 6 at 4:00am.


Services Affected:

On Friday, March 5 at 10:00pm until Saturday, March 6 at 4:00am, the campus telephone & voicemail system will be down for maintenance. During that time frame, the OIT Help Desk phone line will be briefly unavailable for no more than 30 minutes. If you happen to call during that time and are unable to reach us, please email us at or try your call again later.

OIT has scheduled an upgrade of the campus telephone system that will result in intermittent outages of campus telephone services from this Friday, March 5 at 10:00pm until Saturday, March 6 at 4:00am.

During the maintenance window:
- All campus phone services including voicemail, ACD (call center) and softphones will be down during the maintenance period.
- Non-emergency calls to UCIPD will be down during the maintenance period.
- If your computer is connected to the campus network via your desk phone, it will experience temporary loss of network connectivity.

NEW: No action required for call forwarding
You no longer need to submit a ticket in order to have your call forwarding re-enabled. OIT will automatically re-enable call forwarding for all users currently utilizing this function, and no further action is required at this time.

Impact after the maintenance window:
- Your phone’s log of recently placed and missed calls will be deleted.
- Phones with multiple Personal Profiles/Call Lists will reset to Profile 1 during the upgrade.

Non-impacted telephone services:
- 911 calls to the UCIPD from off campus telephones and cell phones will continue to function normally.
