MICCE server upgrade and MICCE agent software v9.3 upgrade on Saturday, Feb 16, from 3pm-5pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

On Saturday, February 16th at 3PM, we will migrate the MICCE software over to a new Microsoft 2016 server, as the old Microsoft 2008 server is at EOL (End of Life). At the same time, we will take the opportunity to upgrade MICCE software to the latest revision 9.3.

All agents' software will be updated; however, there will be no change in the functionality. Please make sure all agents are logged out and that the agent is closed before the end of business Friday, Feb 15.

If you have the ACD Agent Icon on your desktop or pinned to your taskbar and it does not work after the upgrade, you will need to go to the Start Menu>Mitel>Agent to launch the agent software.

Adding egress rules to hosts on public server network on Thursday, Feb 7, from 730am-8am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

Security updates to the distribution.oit.uci.edu and parking.uci.edu websites will occur on Thursday, February 7th at 7:30AM. During the maintenance window, these sites may be temporarily unavailable.

Data Warehouse/BLISS scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, Feb 5, from 8pm-9pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

OIT has scheduled a Data Warehouse database upgrade tonight from 8-9pm. During the maintenance window, users will not be able to run DWH BLISS queries.

Upgrade JBoss Fuse on esb-stage0 to 6.3.0-redhat-371 on Saturday, Feb 9, from 10pm to 11pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

The JBoss Fuse version on esb-stage0.oit.uci.edu is scheduled to be upgraded to version 6.3.0-redhat-371 on Saturday 02/09/2019 at 22:00.

Upgrade OIT Github and Academic Github on Monday, Feb 11, from 8pm-930pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

We will perform upgrades on both github.oit.uci.edu and github.uci.edu from 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM on 02/11. The service interruption is expected to last about 90 mins during the upgrade.

Palo Alto software upgrade – brief campus wide network outages on Tuesday, Feb 5, from 5am-7am

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

We have scheduled an upgrade of the Palo Alto IPS operating system to resolve bugs as well as to provide new features. The Palo Alto IPS is configured in an Active/Active method. We will upgrade one PA device at a time beginning with the Secondary PA.

While the PA's are rebooting there potentially can be a 15 to 20 min internet outage campus wide.

Cal IT2 – planned network maintenance on Saturday, Feb 9, from 7am-3pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

We will be working in the IDF on the 2nd Fl doing a reconfiguration effort to expand capacity for a Facilities Management project/Future growth. Our technicians are scheduled from 7AM-3PM and we anticipate a possible network (4-8) hour network outage within that timeframe.

Brief Residential Network Outage (Palo Verde & Verano Place) on Monday, February 4, from 10AM-12PM

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

On Monday, February 4th, between 10AM and noon, OIT will be performing some minor changes to network equipment serving the Palo Verde and Verano Place graduate communities. As part of this upgrade process, some buildings will experience a very brief network outage as links are migrated to the new equipment. The following buildings/apartments will be affected:
-- Palo Verde 1100-6300
-- Verano Place 6200-6528
-- Verano Place 66000-69000

A 2-hour window has been allotted for the maintenance, but we anticipate the outage itself will last roughly one minute.

Standalone host VM downtime on Wednesday, January 30, from 8pm-9pm

Purpose: Scheduled maintenance

Services Affected:

Due to a RAID controller battery failure significantly affecting disk write performance on esx-sa-eg01, we need to take the VMs listed below down from 8-9PM 1/30/2019 for parts replacement.
