Cyber Security Training

Cyberattacks are a growing threat and can put intellectual property and research in jeopardy. Each of us has a responsibility to safeguard the information assets entrusted to us. In support of this, all University of California employees on active payroll status are required to take annual Cyber Security Awareness Training. A substantial number of cyberattacks involve the unintended actions of users of information systems, and this risk can be significantly lowered through an effective training program.

  • Amazon Gift CardEmployees who took the 2017 training may satisfy the annual requirement by taking the shorter refresher course, which takes about 35 minutes.
  • For those who have not completed the full course, it should take about 55 minutes.
  • In either case, training must be accomplished by March 30th.
  • Finish by March 30th and be entered to win 1 of 25 $20 Amazon gift cards.

New Employees

  • If you started employment within the last year and already took the training, you do not have additional training but please keep an eye out for the reminder as you near your anniversary.

You will receive an email from the UC Learning Center with instruction on how to complete the training.
