Residential Network Services

Welcome back, Anteaters! If you are returning for the first time this year and have an iPhone or iPad, you will need to register your device again to connect to the internet. This is due to a software change that Apple implemented last fall. In addition, the walk-in ResNet help desk located in the Administrative Modulars has been permanently closed. For ResNet support, please call or email and one of our agents will be able to assist.

OIT is dedicated to meeting the growing networking needs of not just the UC Irvine campus community (UCInet), but also the residential communities (ResNet). We offer computer networking and cable television assistance to residents of the following communities:

  • Arroyo Vista
  • Las Lomas (starting in 2021)
  • Mesa Court
  • Middle Earth

  • Campus Village
  • Palo Verde
  • Verano Place

Faculty & Staff (ICHA)

  • Alturas
  • Gabrielino
  • Miramonte
  • Santiago

*For students living in Las Lomas, please note that there will be a Wireless Access Point (WAP) set up in the living room of each apartment. The WAP will have several wired ports that can be used instead of a wireless connection. Similar to the other undergrad housing, all wired and wireless devices connecting to the WAP must be registered in order to access the internet.

We do not manage the network for the American Campus Communities at UCI, namely Vista del Campo, Vista del Campo Norte, Camino del Sol, and Puerta del Sol. For technical assistance in those communities, please consult your local housing office.
