UPDATE 0500: Campus Wide Internet Service Interruption – Tonight between 2AM-5AM


UPDATE 0500: Admins have completed working on the Port Channel for the secondary firewall and confirmed that all wired and wireless network resources are available. All updates have been completed.


UPDATE 0420: Admins have confirmed that the primary firewall is stable. Network traffic is running through the primary firewall and all wired and wireless services are available. Admins are currently working on the Port Channel for the secondary firewall. Once completed, admins will confirm the stability of the secondary firewall. There should be no network disruption during this process.


UPDATE 0300: Admins have completed updates on the primary firewall and will now begin working on the secondary firewall. During this time, all wired and wireless services will be unavailable.


The OIT Network and Security Engineers will be enhancing our Border Router and Border Firewall bandwidth on Tuesday, December 5th, between 2AM – 5AM.

Wired and wireless Internet services for all of campus and residential housing, including the UCI Medical Center, will be intermittently unavailable during this upgrade window.

Admins have completed all firewall updates during the 2am-5am network maintenance window. All wired and wireless network resources have been restored.
