UPDATE 1030. Cisco Anyconnect VPN client missing for some DSS-supported users

Description:

UPDATE 1030. Some DSS machines are unable to receive the push for the new VPN client. Please contact oit@uci.edu or call 949-824-2222 for DSS to manually install the new VPN client.

UPDATE 0805. DSS has identified the cause of the issue. It appears that updates on some client machines did not complete last night, resulting in the new version of the Cisco VPN client not being installed after the old version was uninstalled. They are pushing the new VPN client out to those users who are missing the software.

Some DSS supported users are reporting that the Cisco Anyconnect VPN client is missing on their machines (presumably uninstalled last night). When they go to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco\Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client folder, it appears the folder is empty. This is where the vpnui.exe file needed to run the VPN should be located.
