UPDATE 815: DRILL. Students & staff should not go to the OIT Data Center or Engineering Gateway until further notice.

This morning at 8am, OIT has commenced a Disaster Recovery Drill to test our organization’s response to a DR scenario where the OIT Data Center suffers a water main break, resulting in damage to a number of vital OIT systems.

During the drill, there should be NO discernible impact to campus production systems; however, if something does occur, we will act accordingly to roll back any changes to minimize campus impact. The DR team & Client Services are confident that the tested changes during the drill should not affect the campus.

Status: Resolved

Resolution:

OIT has successfully completed the Disaster Recovery Exercise. All systems and the SDSC DR environment have been returned to their pre-DR state. All identified DR recovery tasks and milestones have been completed.

Contact the OIT Help Desk if you have questions or further issues.
