Update: 0945 – DUO Multi-factor authentication service degradation

Description:

Update: At 0945 IT Security Admins report that they’ve opened a ticket with the vendor and are waiting for an update. Preliminary reports show Duo to be working again for some, but service may be intermittent. More info later as we receive it. Thank you.

Update: At 0900 IT Security Admins contacted Help Desk with new information. Duo is reporting that there is a problem with web-based Duo logins. This is a problem with the DUO service, so we will have to wait for them to provide a resolution.

Around 0845 this morning the OIT Help Desk started receiving calls reporting that DUO multi-factor authentication was not working. Help Desk is contacting the system administrators and will update with more information as it is discovered.

Resolution:

Duo has implemented a fix and authentications web-based authentications appear
to be working again.
