1420 UPDATE: Network Service Degradation with Campus ISP

1420 UPDATE:

Current estimated time to repair is 5pm this evening.

The campus’ primary 100G connection to our Internet service provider (CENIC) has been disrupted, as a result of a cut fiber optic cable offsite. CENIC engineers are investigating the issue, and they will provide us updates as they become available.

The campus and Health locations are presently utilizing UCI’s 10G backup link to CENIC in order to access the Internet at large. This backup connection is stable and should provide us with adequate bandwidth while the primary connection is repaired.

UCI network engineers will continue to monitor the situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
