The campus Instant Messaging system (chat.nacs.uci.edu) appears to be down.

Description:

We are getting reports that the campus IM service is down. After launching an IM client (like Pidgin), it appears to be offline.
Our techinicans are aware of the issue and are working towards a resolution.
