UPDATE 1400. Zoom Service Degradation


UPDATE 1400. Upon further investigation, it looks like the root cause for the service degradation was caused by some of Zoom’s name servers in Amazon Web Services. Our DNS team added a conditional forwarding stanza to point DNS requests for “” directly to google’s DNS servers.

There appears to have been a campus DNS issue that was also causing some connectivity issues. Our DNS admins have implemented a spotfix and we’re getting reports that service is slowly being restored as the update is propagated across the network.

Zoom admins have received reports of users being unable to visit the Zoom website ( When trying to, users receive a “’s server IP address could not be found” error message. Zoom is fully aware. No ETA at the time.
