OIT Website Redesign

by | Mar 18, 2022 | News

We have been busy working on a new OIT website. Our goal was to simplify and standardize our website focusing on the services we provide to the campus. We formed an advisory committee of staff, students, and faculty from around campus, asking them how and why they used our site. We let them lead the direction of the site and we are excited to share the changes with you.

Service Focus

What we heard from our committee is that they care most about our services. They want to know who can use them, how much they cost, how to order them, and how to get help. We created standard service landing pages with all the information you need in places that are consistent and easy to find.

Knowledge Base

We moved all of our help content over to our Knowledge Base. The articles are listed in the Support tab for each service. If you need more help, it’s only a click away to our Help Desk who are always ready to assist.

Audience Pages

We built landing pages curated for our core audiences. You can choose your role at UCI and find the services available to you from our “By Audience” menu. You’ll also see these roles on the service pages in the “At A Glance” sidebar and on the home page.

We hope you like the new site that was built just for you.

Advisory Committee Acknowledgement

We would like to thank our advisory committee. The changes made to the website are thanks to them, their dedication, and their honest feedback.

Retiring login.uci.edu

On May 1, 2024, at 7:30 AM, the URL login.uci.edu will direct people to a new landing page. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to complete the decommissioning of WebAuth. The new landing page will help inform people that an existing bookmark to WebAuth needs to be updated.
