Google Workspace Storage Changes

Google has announced the end of unlimited storage for Google Workspace. Effective July 1st, 2024, UCI’s unlimited storage will end. OIT will be rolling out a new tiered model to manage storage and costs going forward.

OIT has started a multi-year, phased project to leverage cloud based telephone services including MS Teams Telephone Services and AWS Connect.

ES Mail Retirement

OIT migrated all active ES Mail (aka Webmail) accounts to either Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 in an effort to increase email security.

Mailman to Google Groups Migration

Mailman mailing lists were migrated to Google Groups a cloud-based service with a similar feature set.

ServiceNow Analytics

The ServiceNow Analytics project created a data mart with reports and dashboards to optimize project, service-level, support, and effort-related decision-making and reporting for project managers and leadership.

UCI Single Sign-on Project

OIT retired its legacy UCI Single Sign-On (SSO) service WebAuth, in favor of a standards-based (SAML) service called Shibboleth.
