OIT’s Evolve: Talent Enhancement Program allows us to strategically and intentionally invest in and grow our employees to meet the organizational needs of today and tomorrow.

What is Evolve?

UCI’s Office of the CIO in close partnership with UCI Human Resources is rolling out the Fuel50 Implementation as part of the EVOLVE: Talent Enhancement Experience program to strategically and intentionally invest in and grow our employees to meet the organizational needs of today and tomorrow.

This project is deemed to be a crucial piece of OIT’s effort to focus on improving employee engagement, internal talent mobility, workforce upskilling and reskilling, and talent and career development.

Evolve focuses on four main areas:

  • Internal Talent Pathways
  • Workforce Dexterity
  • Quality Hiring
  • Career Discovery

Goals

  • Implement and integrate the Fuel50 product for UCI OIT, thereby driving next-generation workforce data, powering internal talent mobility, driving workforce agility, and future-proofing our organization.
  • Provide a solution for OIT Human Resources (HR) that smart-matches talent to internal vacancies, short-term gigs, projects, and career journeys.
  • Provide OIT employees with a centralized tool for building skills and proficiency-based profiles, performing gap assessments for desired positions, and planning for future career pathways.

Deliverables

  • Tailor the Evolve environment to match OIT’s needs
  • Drive OIT employee engagement through communications, education, and promotion with the goal of having 30% of staff participating within 9 months after the launch.
