Computer Labs & Classrooms

ALP Labs

Due to COVID-19, OIT Instructional and Drop-in computer labs remain closed for in-person use until further notice. Several labs are available for remote access use and the Virtual Computing Lab is also still available.

Remote Computer Access

Remote Computer Access allows students and instructors to remotely connect to the OIT lab computers from off-campus (i.e home).

Virtual Computer Lab

UCI's virtual computer lab offers the ability to run specialized instructional/classroom software within an internet browser.

Reserve a Computer for In-person Use

At this time, due to the current level of COVID restrictions, there are NO publicly accessible computers on campus available for in-person use.

Internet Connectivity Issues

Students who are having internet connectivity issues will need to make a reservation though the Library or can request a Mobile Hotspot (if available) through the Student Equipment Loan program.

The OIT@Student Center drop-in lab (SC C138) has been permanently closed. Please contact the Student Center at if you have any questions regarding this change.

Computer labs are available for instructional, drop-in, and training use. Other departments and units have computer labs that are available for campus-wide use.
