A Universal Change To Duration of Outlook Meetings
The default meeting times for UCI’s Microsoft Outlook will now default to 25 minutes and 50 minutes. This is to allow more time in between meetings for travel and to prevent meeting fatigue.
Duo MFA Now Required for UCI’s Virtual Private Network
Duo multi-factor authentication is now required to access UCI’s virtual private network (VPN). This new requirement applies to all users who are already enrolled in UCI’s Duo MFA.
Microsoft Teams is Replacing Skype for Business
On July 31, 2021, Microsoft is discontinuing Skype for Business. It is being replaced with Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams features chat options similar to Skype, and also includes richer messaging tools and new features to better collaborate within each unit.
