Job Description

The OIT Specialized Desktop team is hiring and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join us! We are looking for current students to join our team as a Student Desktop Support Analyst. If you are looking for a fast-paced environment with constant changing technology at a large organization to start your professional career, this is the place for you. As the face of OIT Desktop Support Services, you will be supporting numerous departments on campus.

 

As a candidate, you will:

 

  • Provide primary IT support for UCI affiliates on OIT applications and services
  • Imaging and setting up systems including Dell Laptops, touchpads, MacBook’s, Mobile phones
  • For more complex user requests, collect version, configuration, and diagnostic information, analyze and recommend solutions, provide ad-hoc training, and troubleshoot and carefully characterize problems to enable other OIT units to respond quickly and effectively. Refer complicated problems to the appropriate OIT or departmental technical expert.
  • Log calls to and query/update the status in ServiceNow.
  • Produce and enhance client self-help systems such as website documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials. Recommend documentation in response to changes in the pattern of common questions.
  • Other duties as assigned such as administrative tasks

 

Compensation Range: $ 16.00 per hour
