Coring/Drilling in OITDC Building
Scheduled for: Thursday, Sep 22, 2022 at 6:00 AM to Thursday, Sep 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM
Details:
On 9/22/22 beginning at about 6 AM, a contractor will be drilling holes in the Highbay side of the wall shared with OITDC. In addition, later that morning they will be coring through on an adjacent wall; these tasks are in service of mounting a fire suppression panel in the Highbay and allowing conduit to pass through to the exterior of the building. These tasks will introduce vibrations into the data center, although it is doubtful they will be harmful. Regardless, a data center staff member will be onsite through it all taking measurements of the vibrations. If they begin to reach problematic levels, we will halt the work and discuss how to move forward.
Adverse effects and outages to the data center are not expected.
