Campus-wide licensing of Qualtrics is ending on July 1, 2024
On July 1, 2024, the UCI campus-wide Qualtrics license will end. While the campus-wide license can still be used during the 2023-2024 fiscal year, all technical support inquiries during this time will be referred directly to Qualtrics.
Please be aware that a significant amount of time will likely be needed for Qualtrics users to retrieve their data and transition to other solutions. QuestionPro is now available as an alternative to Qualtrics.
Qualtrics to QuestionPro: Migration Training Sessions
QuestionPro trainers will be providing four training sessions covering how to migrate content from UCI Qualtrics to QuestionPro. If you have projects you need to keep running after July 1st, 2024, you are strongly encouraged to attend one of the following migration training sessions.

Important: Qualtrics is not approved for P3/4 data.
Qualtrics is not approved for UC systemwide P3/P4 data classifications as defined on the Security website. If you are collecting data in Qualtrics that is considered P3/P4 for the coming year, please work with your department’s Unit Information Security Lead to ensure the role at the appropriate level within your Unit formally accepts the risk via the risk exception process.
Qualtrics is a cloud-based survey platform that provides organizations with a suite of tools to design, manage, and analyze surveys, collect feedback and data from various sources, and improve experiences across the organization.
- Survey creation: Quick survey builder guides the survey creation process. Qualtrics provides a variety of survey question types, customization options, and distribution channels to create and distribute surveys to targeted audiences. You can also personalize respondents’ survey experience and track response and completion rates in real-time.
- Data analysis: Qualtrics provides a variety of visualization and reporting options to analyze survey data, including real-time dashboards, statistical analysis, and text analytics. You can also use predictive analytics to identify trends and insights from your data.
- Send and track participation invitations and reminders
- Display survey results, graphically and statistically
- Export data to Excel or SPSS
Qualtrics enterprise licensing is funded through campus partnerships until July 1, 2024. Licensed Qualtrics accounts are free to UCI faculty, staff, and students until July 1, 2024.
